Wow, THE COOK, THIEF, HIS WIFE AND HER LOVER?

not a massive Peter Greenaway fan, but yeah I held off voting for movies which I personally can't stand but thought might generally be considered 'good' here (or just objectively good in some way)

THE MATRIX
THE WOLF OF WALL STREET
CABIN IN THE WOODS
DJANGO UNCHAINED
THE GIRL WITH THE PEARL EARRING

I mean these films literally angered me with how much I disliked them, but they're not for this thread...

please do not mock my potato.

47. "The Room" (2003)

I actually LOVE this movie!

It's a BAD movie-! But the kind I enjoy!

It's so bad that they made another bad movie about this bad movie.
First rule is, 'The laws of Germany'
Second rule is, 'Be nice to mommy'
Third rule is, 'Don't talk to commies'
Fourth rule is, 'Eat kosher salamis'

I didn't want to include bad movies I like such as The Room and Troll 2

I think others felt the same way
Kubrick, Nolan, Tarantino, Wan, Iñárritu, Scorsese, Chaplin, Abrams, Wes Anderson, Gilliam, Kurosawa - the elite

I included some I like; my enjoyment doesn't matter if the film was poorly made, written, etc.

I haven't seen The Room, Birdemic, or Troll 2, so I couldn't nominate them. I might be interested seeing in Troll 2 or Birdimic; I'm not interested in seeing The Room.

Don't know what your reasons for not wanting to see "The Room" are, but I highly recommend it to all bad movie fans.

^^ agreed.

ditto the other two... although after all the 'best bad movie ever' hype TROLL 2 was a slight anticlimax it's still definitely worth seeing once.

Dr. Whom

I nominated Prometheus and After Earth because they have no excuse for being so bad. Sometimes a bad movie may be the best that could be made, given the circumstances or the means/talent available. These, on the other hand, are major productions with A-list stars, which still manage to drop the ball.

CANNIBAL HOLOCAUST (1980) is along the same lines. I had both films at one time...I gave them away.

I honestly love "Showgirls"  I cannot put it on any Bad movies list ever.  ... I am not alone..but I know I am in the minority.

I enjoy "Showgirls" too, but I know it's a bad movie. If this list had gone longer I would have added it. Especially since it was a big budget Hollywood movie!

If I'd been thinking, I would have added Batman vs Superman before it was too late.
