Neon Maniacs (1986)



Not a movie I would label good, but it always delivers the B-movie goods which makes it very entertaining for me. The plot was inspired by Gremlins, and is about water-fearing demonic mutants living underneath a bridge. They only come out at night to kill, and they have their own character trading cards.



Adding to the weirdness is Paula. She is a friendly outcast who loves everything horror but dislikes cops. She even makes her own horror movies. Paula is some sort of tomboy who wears her cap sideways. I've read Donna Locke (Paula) was in her twenties, and the Paula character was suppose to be around 14 years old. Neon Maniacs is the only film in her resume.

Fun flick that makes little sense.

Highly recommended. Paula is easily one of my favorite b-horror movie characters.

if i recall that version of Lost Horizon had cut a lot out so that may be why it was so bad?

i do have From Dusk Till Dawn 3: Hangman's Daughter (1999)  i just haven't watched it yet i enjoy the hell out of the 2nd one to be honest. that one is a lot of un and  among my favorites. it has one of my favorite dialogs too where they are talking about Porn and they wish it had more story these days. a friend of mine who has since passed away he's been gone like a decade i think? anyways, that''s what he always used to say to me

The 1973 version of Lost Horizon was a musical (??) and I was six when I first saw it. The 1937 Lost Horizon was a great movie indeed but the remake

SPOOKIES(1986)...two bad films merged into one, however, it still has that '80's cheezy film vibe.

Depends on how you define "bad movie." Some people would consider PRISONERS OF THE GHOSTLAND a bad movie (it does have a 4.2 IMDB rating). I wouldn't call it a bad movie, though.

Then there's a couple of bad indie art-house movies, THE ONE YOU FEED and LAVA. These are bad (really bad), but probably not really in the spirit of the question.

The last unquestionable "bad movie" I watched is BAD GIRLS GO TO HELL.

Take the story of one of those zombie outbreak stories and replace the zombies with werewolves.  It sadly wasn't as exciting as it sounds.

The Majorettes (1986)

Looks like IMDb finally (?) settled on a production/release year for The Majorettes. For now. It has been constantly changing from 1988 to 1987 to 1986 for years.
Anyway, this is from S. William Hinzman (Bill Hinzman, the infamous graveyard zombie from Night of the Living Dead) based on a novel by John A. Russo, who wrote the screenplay for Night of the Living Dead. The Majorettes is a pretty wild B-movie. It is a slasher on the surface turning into a Rambo-like Biker-Action flick nestled in a toxic family revenge soap drama. Lots of colorful characters and insane plot twists. It's bad but certainly not boring.

Initially, I had assumed this would be a horror-comedy involving the early London police force, but it turned out to be another entry in the strippers vs zombies sub-genre that I thought had died out. Some boobs on display, plenty of fake blood.
