a while back you guys filled me in on some great (and bad) 70s creature b-movies and I managed to find a bunch of them on DVD. I'm now wondering which if any from the "00s" you may think are worth checking out. good, bad, whatever.... probably not a a golden era of creature features but I'm interested anyway. (you can list any you know, even if you didn't enjoy them.)

a few that I've seen, to start off...

LAKE PLACID 2 (2007)
LAKE PLACID 3 (2010)

ANNACONDAS: THE HUNT FOR THE BLOOD ORCHID (2004)
ANNACONDA 3: OFFSPRING (2008)
ANNACONDAS: TRAIL OF BLOOD (2009)

EL CHUPACABRA (2003)

OPEN WATER (2003)
OPEN WATER 2: ADRIFT (2006)

MEGA SHARK VS GIANT OCTOPUS (2009)

SNOWBEAST (2010)

 - as this is not a 'Top 100' thread you can list as many as you want in the same post  :teddyr:

The 2005 version is the one with Naomi Watt.

I'm not sure how many Kong movies there are. Let's see... King Kong, Son of Kong, King Kong vs Godzilla, King Kong '76, Kong Lives, The Mighty Kong, Kong: King of Atlantis, King Kong '05, Kong of Skull Island, Kong vs Godzilla (Remake)

At least 10.

D-War: Dragon Wars (2007)

A mess of a movie, with good CG FX. Could've been good overall, if they stuck to the ancient Korean segment. I'd like to see that part expanded to a full feature.

If I remember right, the tone/pacing were similar to old episodes of the X-Files. Might check it out if you like those.

Technically, all the Pokémon movies are creature features; they even follow the "monster goes on a rampage" format (usually). But something tells me you're not looking for those.

Monster Island (2004) has some nice stop motion & a cameo by Adam West. But the tone is kinda like a Disney Channel movie, only with more crude humor. (If I remember right it implied West's character was in a relationship with one of the monsters...)

The plot: a boy wins a trip to an island for a concert, & monsters attack. He has to rescue the pop star when the monsters kidnap her. (Going by memory.)

EIGHT LEGGED FREAKS (2002)

cannot remember if I've seen this one or not?

Roger Corman produced a few creature features in the 2000's. Raptor & Cyclops, according to Wikipedia.

Thought there were more, but Wikipedia doesn't list any.

If you really want creature features, just just watch the entire 2000-2009 Sci-Fi Channel catalog. They produced a ton.
