Title: Richard ‘Lowtax’ Kyanka, Founder of Something Awful, Is Dead at 45

Suicide. Apparently the guy had a domestic abuse problem too. He was, apparently, the indirect inventor of the Internet meme.

I had checked out the "Something Awful" forums occasionally and I did not think they were too bad. Apparently, I missed some awful stuff. According to the article, a lot of the Internets worst s**tholes---4 Chan, Kiwi Farms---spun off from Lowtax's forums when the most obnoxious trolls were kicked out.

A mixed legacy for sure.

I have to give Lowtax credit, for better or for worse, for his huge affect on internet culture. 

That said, supposed in real life he was a nasty piece of work.
