Yup. Nintendo 8bit. I never played that one though.

I have though, and it was, like many sidescrollers of the day, super hard and guaranteed to make you prematurely bald from the frustration of randomly generated creatures homing in on you like an ICBM...

ARGH!!!!

I know that one, played it all the time on my cousin's Sega but can't for the life of me remember what it was!  Reminds me alot like Civilization, albeit scaled back.

I'll do a google check and try and find it but I don't like my luck...

King's Bounty for Sega Genesis!  Loved that game (except for the LUDICROUSLY long password - like 70 characters!), but the bonus Q: I love Heroes of Might and Magic more.

Congrats!  Jim H gets the point and the bonus point!  :)

Yeah, I loved HOMM as well, although for some reason I couldn't get into part 4 (the last one I played of the series).  Course, maybe it was cause I had a slow computer at the time, perhaps I should give it another chance...

Currently replaying bits of part three!  :)

I bought part V a while back.  I could not get into 4 and 5 like I could in the first three either..  I think a big part of it is the greater emphasis on storytelling (which is not really any good) and the switch to a 3D world.  The 2D world of the first three is much more charming.

Hmm... the first game looks like Age of Mythology and the second game reminds me of Empire Earth or Empire Earth II.
