I have no idea what these are about (they seem to be medieval Russian) but you can find a whole series of killer bunny torture porn on the Internet.

^It could have something to do with something I once saw on PBS... From the way I recall it, up until about 200 year ago, barbers also engaged in dentistry, surgery & bloodletting (hence, the emblematic red striped pole, originally a rag with blood on it).^

It probably has something to do with it, but I'm still not sure why that would be funny. Is a doctor with a wooden leg funny? I guess if you don't have "The Onion" to read, you gotta laugh at something.

I couldn't find any medieval images of a barber with a wooden leg, but I did find this. What's going on there?

^Mmmm, come to think of it, maybe a couple different PBS shows about medical research in medieval Italy and in early 19th century London, not to mention, every Frankenstein movie staring Peter Cushing...^
