Hey all!
I found this cool site called Putfile.com that lets you upload videos for free as long as they're under 25MB.
So, I figured I'd put my Sony DVD cam w/tripod to work and give a short video greeting to you all to say hi!
CLICK HERE (http://media.putfile.com/ASHTHECAT) to watch it.
(sorry if it's kinda dark...turn up your brightness to see it better)
I think Putfile.com would be a great idea to use for people here who want to give a brief video review of any films they've recently seen.
Like a 30 to 60 second quickie review.
If you're not camera shy!
Remember, they only allow a maximum of 25 MB per video so you'll have to keep it short.
By the way, the player on Putfile is kinda temperamental so if it freezes up a bit, just fiddle with the slider and it should straighten itself out no problem.
What do you think?
ash how do you get the small picture on your posts? I have been trying to no avail.
Are you talking about The Warriors signature beneath my posts as seen below?

Find an image that you like anywhere on the web.
Right-click on it and save it to your desktop.
Then, go to www.imageshack.us and upload that pic.
Copy the appropriate URL and then paste it into your signature area in your profile.
That's how I did mine.
THANK YOU ASH ILL WATCH THE VIDEO WHEN I COMES BACK UP
I've never used "putfile.com" but there is always YouTube.com. You can upload any size video file to their site if I'm not mistaken.
I just wanna know...
Were you all able to view my brief video without any problems?
You should be able to.
No problems viewing the video, but that's if it happens to be a really long loop of the quicktime symbol [yes it doesn't work for me either]
But my is it a fascinating logo! :-P
I'm sure it'll be up and running eventually, just let us know when it is!
I was able to view the movie, though it took about a minute to load. As proof, I know you picked up a movie that involves a plan. A plan from outer space. Perhaps the ninth in a series of such plans.
The sound was pretty bad, though. The fuzz close to drowning out your voice, but I could still easily understand what you were saying. Image was nice and sharp, for such a small file.
If I get some more free time, I might find make something to put up. 30 second film review, perhaps. The only video camera I have is a digital camera, which only captures low resolution Quicktime clips. Should work, though.
