Well, I am trying to get home from 29 Palms, but the weather has me in Denver. I will get home tomorrow. Should be able to update the website next weekend with another review too. Just in case "The Apple" did not fill you up.
Hey, isn't Peter Johnson in Denver?
If you want to go out n about, The Shebeen on Iliff Blvd in Aurora is a great little pub. I destoyed many a pint o Guiness there. Too bad the new airport is so far out...
I have a flight landing in detroit on the 16th from Amsterdam then to Louisville... hope its clear then.

You're getting close to my home territory in the Lexington area.

Andrew I stayed overnight in 29 Palms, California last Easter after visiting Joshua Tree National Park. The town is on the edge of a Marine base. We ate at the Pizza Hut that afternoon and stayed in the Days Inn. Looked around town to locate the Drive-In Theater. The Drive-In was small and there is an off base barber shop and tatoo parlor that seemed busy with off duty Marines.
Not much to the town of 29 Palms except the interesting Murals on the walls around town. Also Dick Dale of Surfer guitar music fame owns and operates a hardware store in town, but we couldn't visit him since it was close for Easter.

Palms Springs was great and so was Joshua Tree National Park.
Speaking of Murals check out the murals at the Denver Airport and read all the modern legends about those images and what's under that airport.
