Title: Looking for an obscure film
Post by: Funk, E. on January 16, 2002, 03:17:38 PM
Hello everyone:

Some time a go I read a review about this bizzare movie and I haven't been able to relocate the review to get the title of the movie. From what I remember of the review it went someting like this:

There's a cop that gets killed and then is accidentally ressurected when a bunch of wannabe satanist do a ritual over his grave. He goes running around terrorizing the public at large with his oversized phallus while being chased by his ex-partner and a flying undead baby. Sound familur? If anyone knows the name of this flick I'd really appreciate it. Thanx.

It sounds like the ultra crap fest the necro files but I could be wrong. That's the first thing that popped into my mind when I was reading this message. I haven't seen it but it is a legendary film on a newsgroup called alt.horror, I really don't have any desire to see it at all.

The synopsis looks very familiar and I thought I recognized it from one of Andrew's reviews here, but I can't seem to find it

No review of "The Necro Files" here Jay.  Heck, I've yet to see that one myself.  Of course, it (the description) might ring some bells via "Dead Alive."

Title: Definitely not "Dead Alive"...

...but the "large penis" thing, I swear I've read about in Wensley Clarkson's book "Quentin Tarantino: Shooting from the Hip". I'll look it up.

Hmm... "Soul Veangence," perhaps?

Oops, no - I had meant that the review Jay remembered might be my "Dead Alive" piece.  It is 99% likely that the movie Funk.E. is looking for is "The Necro Files" as stated by StatCat.

Oops, I didn't mean that "Necro Files" was reviewed here...I've never heard of it.

I meant the synopsis sounded like a movie I have read a review of here..."Soul Vengeance"  hmm...re-reading the review...not quite
.

it's DEFINITELY Necro Files...but you're a bit mixed-up in the plot...the zombie was actually a former serial rapist/killer, who's being tracked down by the two cops that killed him.

By the way, the "head" Satanist that resurrects him is Todd Tjersland, of Threat Theater.

Wow! Thanx a lot gang. I've been bangin' my head trying to remember what it was called. It is in fact the "Necro Files." I really appreciate the help.
