Yet it is a real movie (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0417148/) starring Samuel L. "Where's my check?" Jackson.
Anyway, here is a rough cut (http://www.ifilm.com/ifilmdetail/2701810?htv=12) of the film.
Not ANOTHER s**tty killer snake movie!
Boa, Python, Anaconda, Boa VS Python and now this!!!!!
Yeah, it's a real movie. I first found out about it on another board, and thought people were joking around, but then I found out the sad reality.
Gotta love the title, though. Lets ya know exactly what yer gitten'!
Damn that was funny.
I had heard that they were making this movie some time back, but I figured it had fell through. Then a few weeks ago, Samuel L was on NPR talking about Freedomland and it was brought up.
Here was the conversation:
NPR Lady: So, Sam it looks like you have another film coming out soon called Snakes On A Plane. Could you tell us a bit about that?
Samuel L: It is what the title says: Snakes On A Plane.
NPR Lady: But could you elaborate about it some?
Samuel L: It's Snakes On A Plane. There is a plane and there are snakes. I knew I was going to do the film as soon as I read the title. It is what it is, Snakes On A Plane.
That sort of thing went on for about five minutes. Hilarious.

ROTFLMAO!!!! I am imagining Sam saying all that and it's killing me....
LH-C,
I'll see if I can find the coversation on NPR.org. It was quite insightful and gave a lot of background info on Samuel L. But, the highlight for me was the Snakes Of The Plane portion.
Well, that was quick.
Here's the link, and there is a listen button at the top where you can hear the full interview:

Cool - thanks! I'll listen to it the first chance I get!
"A Cock and Bull Story" had nothing to do with either cocks or bulls.
"Breakfast on Pluto" was NOTHING about aliens having breakfast on planet Pluto.
"Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon" did not feature any tigers or dragons.
THUS, it is undertandable that the periodist did not undertand that "Snakls on a Plane" actually WAS about snakes on a plane.
