This is something I've been working on a lot with my GF, either that or she has been obessessed with it just as much as I have. I have noticed that every single time that MTV is shown during a movie the movie ends up either being a bomb or not making any money. Just the ones I've noticed so far
Blair Witch 2
Light It Up
Joe Dirt
Sugar and Spice
And thats just within the last few months. Kurt Loder should especially bring fear to your heart with his parts of MTV News being on S&S and BW2.
Anyone else noticed this trend? Or even the opposite?

Beavis and Butthead do America did well,although not as well as MTV had hoped. What ever happend to B an B do the U (apart from turning it into a video game)?
I can think of a hit that showed MTV: Ferris Bueller's Day Off. But, of course, John Hughes sold his soul to Lucifer, and the Prince Of Darkness can probably bypass something as silly as MTV.
The MTV logo appeared in "Spies Like Us". Some kids are watching it during the big Star Wars project sequence. The laser that is supposed to shoot down the missile misses and hits a satellite carrying the MTV signal. Back on Earth, the signal goes out and sparks shoot out of the TV. The kids hoot and cheer. 80\'s humor was so deep.
I don't think "Spies Like Us" was a big hit, but it seems to be very popular on video and cable.
