Title: TWO MINUTE WARNING (1976)
Post by: The Burgomaster on March 21, 2006, 11:15:22 AM
TWO MINUTE WARNING - This movie looks and smells like an Irwin Allen all-star disaster.  Surprisingly, Irwin Allen had nothing to do with it.  The story involves a sniper who positions himself on top of the scoreboard at a football championship game.  Charlton Heston, Martin Balsam, and John Cassevetes spring into action to stop him before he starts shooting.  It takes 2 hours and 6 minutes for them to figure out what to do.  WHY DIDN'T THEY JUST PUT A S.W.A.T. GUY IN THE BLIMP THAT IS FLYING OVER THE STADIUM AND HAVE HIM SHOOT THE SNIPER?  The "all-star" cast (Jack Klugman, Beau Bridges, Gena Rowlands, David Janssen, etc.) make this seem like a LOVE BOAT episode set inside a football stadium.

But the DVD only cost me about $6.00, so I don't feel so bad.
