I know there is already a post about the whole Issac Hayes thing, but I figured I'd start a new post about last night's episode. Did anyone else catch it?
The episode starts off with a recap of what happened to Chef. He leaves town with the "Super Adventure Club". A few months later, he shows back up in town, but something is strange. His dialogue is stilted and sounds out of place. Soon, he starts asking the boys if he can sodomize them and do various other sexual acts with them.
You see, the Super Adventure Club is actually a bunch of child rapists. They go around the world, having sex with the various children. They do so because they believe that children have something special in them (body theatens perhaps?) which is released when they have sex with an adult, which will then let the adult live forever. The boys find out that Chef has been brainwashed, and they do everything they can to get him back to normal.
Despite the touchy subject matter of the episode, this has got to be one of the funniest ones I've ever seen. Chef's dialogue was cut from other lines that Hayes had said since the show started in 1997. They would take a word from one line, then a word from another and mix it up until they had a sentence. Towards the end though, the episode did get sad. You could really feel the love that Matt and Trey had for Issac, and you can tell that they miss him.
So did anyone else watch this last night? Thoughts?
Didn't already do this in the episode with Cartman and the NAMBLA guys?
s**t....
If I had known it was on I'd have recorded it.
I rarely watch Comedy Central these days.
Hopefully they'll re-air it soon.
Spoilers:
I laughed out loud (the burbon might've helped). What a great way to twist the knife into Scientology, and Darth Chef (Chef Vader?) was a great ending. Remind me never to get on the bad side of Parker & Stone.
Ash, they usually do repeat during the week, though I wonder just how much clout Tom Cruise has.
I watched it at 10pm and then at Midnight. But I'm going to have to watch it again before I can really write about it.
I missed the show on TV so I just downloaded it. I thought it was very well done. It had it's slow moments with the "Super Adventure Club" leader's speeches, but Matt and Trey had to fill the time somehow. I didn't care for the Scientology episode, but I'm glad I watched it, since this new episode made several (indirect) references to it.
The ending was the best part of this episode, and the speech Kyle made was very noble. I thought for sure Matt and Trey would rip into Isaac, but like Skaboi said, you can really tell they loved the guy. ...If only it weren't for that fruity little club.
I was impressed with the measured response that Matt and Trey gave when Isaac first left the show. They did a decent job of pointing out the double standards and, soon after, delivering a scathing rebuke to Tom Cruise over whatever he did to prevent the rerun of the first anti-scientology episode. This one was just a natural extension of their normal way of addressing issues that "interest" them.
