Title: I Woke Up Early the Day I Died
Post by: Vermin Boy on January 21, 2002, 04:15:40 PM
Does anyone know where I can find this film? From what I gather, it's a dialog-free, 1998 adaptation of the last screenplay Ed Wood ever wrote, featuring the likes of Billy Zane, Eartha Kitt, Andrew McCarthy, and Christina Ricci. Sounds... interesting, to say the least.

The North American distributor went bankrupt not long after it acquired it, and right now it's stuck indefinitely in limbo while the financial mess is being sorted out.

But it is available on video in Germany, if you have a VCR that can play foreign videos.

Can you still buy it, Greywizard? I ordered it via Amazon Italy a little while back and it's still on backorder. I deeply regret not buying it a year or so ago, because I know someone who can transfer Euro formats now.

I still have the trailer somewhere on my harddrive from the old site.

I was half-tempted to donate a few bucks to this guy, but I need site money, too:

God I want this movie.  Don't forget my man Jonathan Taylor Thomas is in it as well.
