I just found out that Dan Curtis died two days ago from a brain tumor. He was 77 (would have been 78 in August). Dan's contributions to TV are numerous - his biggest probably being Winds of War/War and Rememberance and Dark Shadows. Dan even directed 2 tv-movies that were released last year.
Oh no . . . one of the great "trash" TV directors. I'm not sure who made more TV horror movies: Dan Curtis or Curtis Harrington. But they both deserve to be in the B-movie Legion of Honor!
Dan rests with Darren McGavin now.
Hmm that sounds odder than intended . . . .
Anyway, I admired Curtis' work, from Dark Shadows to Trilogy of Terror (the original and 2), The Night Stalker/Strangler to the last, Our Fathers in 2005. He had a signature style all his own.
RIP, Dan.
Wow he's the guy that did Triliogy of Terror I and II.
He's the man that gave us the voo doo doll of death!
Is it just me or does it seem like lots of folk are dying these days?
c....ant ho..ld out much ....longer .........................................................ugh . . . . .
