Title: Lucky Number Slevin (2006)
Post by: Scott on April 16, 2006, 09:30:46 PM
LUCKY NUMBER SLEVIN (2006) (http://imdb.com/title/tt0425210/) - Just watched this one tonight. Stars Josh Hartnett, Bruce Willis, Lucy Liu, Morgan Freeman, and Ben Kingsley in an organized crime film that has been compared to classic Film Noir. Bruce Willis plays an assassin and kinda reminds me of his role in LAST MAN STANDING (1996). This film isn't perfect, but I believe you will enjoy it like I did. You stay interested through the whole film. Lucy Liu is really delightful in a different way in this one. Different than her usual roles in the past.

Lucy Liu has a hideous, asymmetrical face.

I might go see Slevin, though.

Caught this one by chance and was pleasantly surprised. It's one of those movies that does its best to jerk you around, but the twists are logical, the performances very good (even the usually wooden Josh Harnett is OK here) and has some great sense of quirky humour. I'd recommend it.
