Title: Empire Pictures: A company that I liked
Post by: Chris K. on January 23, 2002, 07:35:21 PM
When Charles Band first began in the film business, he had a film company set in Italy called Empire Pictures (which, I am told, was an old castle where Band lived). I liked their films such as THE DUNGEONMASTER, RE-ANIMATOR, ZONE TROOPERS, etc. becasue low budget they may be, they certainly had good photography, nice effects work, and actors who could act.

But what happened to this company? I know it shut down in the early 90's, but why? Anybody have any info on this.

Chris, I think alot of the people who made Zone Toopers went to work for Full Moon.  Go to stomp tokyo and look at their Zone Trooper review, they talk about that some(I think).

Does Empire also produced "the Alchemist" by Charles Band (and ted "subspecies" nicolaou on editing).

I can remember it a very very boring movie.
