Title: BCI accquires Filmation back catalogue
Post by: LH-C on April 27, 2006, 12:48:54 PM
For those that don't know - BCI accquired some of the Filmation back catalogue. I don't know what shows were in the deal except for 'Masters Of The Universe' (with DVDs already being released), 'Isis', and 'Blackstar' (a kind of precurssor to 'Masters Of The Universe'). I hope that 'Space Academy', 'Jason Of Star Command', and 'Tarzan' were part of the deal.

How about the Ghostbusters with Forrest Tucker, Larry Storch and Bob Burns (as Tracy the Gorrilla)? I'd also like to see Mission Magic with Rick Springfield again.

Thanks for the heads up LH-C :-) That's truly fantastic news.

Looks as though Jason Of Star Command is scheduled to be released later this year. Bring it on baby! And I agree about The Ghostbusters with Bob Burns as Tracy - that show still makes me laugh!

'Jason Of Star Command' was my show growing up, although I did like 'Space Academy'. Interestingly, Craig Littler who played Jason is probably more famous for being in the first Grey Poupon mustard ads, and he's currently the Gorton's fish fillet fisherman.
