I just hope it's better than the first one.
Dead Man's Chest looks much better

I didn't care at all for Curse of the Black Pearl.

Johnny Depp is one of those actors you can always trust to put in a superior performance.  His entrance as Captain Jack was priceless.  Stepping off the mast of his sinking ship onto the dock is a scene I'll never forget....

Yes, I liked that he based Capt. Jack's character on Keith Richards. There was a rumor going around that Richards would appear in the sequel as Jack's father.

Richards would have done it, but there was a scheduling conflict.

I liked the Black Pearl, but not nearly as much as everyone else.  Just thought it a decent summer popcorn flick with two great performances (Rush and Depp).  That's good enough for me to see the sequel.  That the sequel has more creatures in it is a big bonus for me, as I love em.

BTW, Bootstrap Bill will be in this one.  I always did wonder why he would be dead, after being sunk to the bottom of the ocean - he should have been immortal like the other pirates who took the gold, and assumedly would have been able (eventually) to work himself free and walk back to land.

Apparently, I was right, since his character is in this one and the sequel.

I'm actually more excited for the third film, since it will Chow Yun-Fat, in what I believe is a villainous role.  Well, I'm assuming as such anyway.

Oh, and BTW - what the hell is up with these low res embedded trailers?  Pretty annoying.  My res is at 1920x1200, and believe me, that trailer was like 1.5" by 1" on my monitor.

I was wondering about that too, I chose the largest one and it was still dinky on the screen.

I was able to see a teaser trailer on E! on one of the last broadcasts of 'Coming Attractions'; it looks like it's going to be pretty awesome.
