The trailer is out. I'm hyped for this and so far it looks good.
So watch for yourselves and the let the nay-saying begin.

It looks like it's going to also be playing on IMAX. Saw Batman last year on IMAX. This might also be good on the big IMAX screen.
What I like about the preview is that they use the narration from the first movie with Marlon Brando playing Supermans father and sending "his only son" to planet earth. Powerful intro for those "with an ear to hear".

I just can't see this. For me Brandon Routh is still Seth from OLTL. I know that actors are supposed to grow out of certain roles and reputations, but he's really got to prove himself first for me to think of him as anything but.
The trailer is nothing special. Typical summer event movie trailer. Since this is essentially a sequel to the previous Superman movies, I disappointed in the plot. Lex Luthor once again plans for world domination. If they are going to use this tried-and-true formula, how about a DIFFERENT villian other than good old Lex? And then we have Lex kidnapping Lois and her child probably to ensnarl Superman. I'm not overly enthused. I'll probably go see the movie when it comes out, and it's probably a good movie.
I'd like to have seen the Nicholas Cage Superman, which got shelved when Christopher Reeves got hurt.
