I recently learned that a new movie will be shot right here in my hometown of Cedar Rapids, Iowa!
It will also be shot in nearby Norway, Iowa where the main story takes place.

This guy knows a thing or two about baseball!
They need several young men...mostly really good actual baseball players to fill roles.
I want to audition for the role of Larry Johnson.
He's the "Madison Star Press reporter. Biased against Norway because of the upcoming consolidation with Madison."
Auditions are coming up soon. I don't really expect to be cast but you never know.
Even if I don't get the part, I'll try to see if I can be an extra in it. (of which they need many)
All I have to do is get a headshot to submit.
The auditions office is only about 3 blocks away from my home here in downtown Cedar Rapids.
I also plan to try to get near the shooting locations and see if I can't snap some digital pics of the movie crew and actors in action.
If I can, I'll definitely post them here.

Cool Ash. Listen, if you don't get a part in it but do decide to get close for some snap shots, do me a favor...stalk Eliza Dushku for me...I can't get out there but if you would stalk her for me, I would appreciate living vicariously through you. Be sure to get arrested while being naked in her changing room as that is what I would do if I had the chance.

I'd eat a frigging jar full of them.
I've tried a couple of times to get in on some projects here in C VA as an extra, but they never call me back. Most emplooyers don't. Single women never call me back either. Some companies won't even call me back for non-paying volunteer gigs.
The high point of my (ahem) *Acting Career* was when I got a ten second sound bite on an episode of Virginia Currents.

Count me in as handicapped/chemo zombie #29. I'll shave my head and hobble around on crutches... and eat brains. It'll be the high point of my career as an actor. I've alread played the chemo/handicapped guy once before on crutches, but I think the addition of 'zombie' to that title is what my career needs now. Oh heck, I don't even need to be handicapped. I'll use any excuse to eat brains.
