Just thought I should bring this up: Whilst trawling through various web pages looking for some info of the cult movie scene in Melbourne, I came across this article (http://www.cnet.com.au/software/internet/0,39029524,40060963,00.htm) about this gem of a site: Veoh.com (http://www.veoh.com/channel.html?channelId=9&network=Cult+Classics)
Essentially this is a fine way to download movies which have gone out of copyright and as such many of them make for some trashy viewing . It's essentially like Youtube I guess, but it's a nice site [from the little I've looked at it so far] and thought I'd spread the love! Though you do have to register and what-not to download the full versions, so I wouldn't be surprised if there's a catch there somewhere!
Very cool.
I think they're trying the same thing @ http://www.cultofuhf.com/ and I believe the good people @ http://www.ghoulapaloozatv.com/ are attempting something simular.
Unfortunately, being a dial-up user with less than 10% drivespace makes a 300+MB download just a wee smidgeon inconvenient.
If you've got the bandwidth for better versions, try http://www.publicdomaintorrents.com
