Title: GHOULIES: An uncut version DOES EXIST!
Post by: Chris K. on January 26, 2002, 01:46:01 PM
I remember watching GHOULIES on television a year ago. Now, I have GHOULIES on video from Vestron Video and it's still in good shape but the sound was horrible (probably because of the film's transfer; Vestron is the same outfit that mixed the reels of HOUSE BY THE CEMETERY out of order on it's early video release). But the TV version had better sound and, to my suprise, some sequences that WERE NOT in the theatrical release or Vestron's video release!

This suprises me alot. Ever since I saw GHOULIES, it looked like it was missing some important sequences.

Anybody ever hear of the uncut version of GHOULIES?

The pre-cert Entertainment release was uncut but because of the VRA (video recordings act) back in 1984 they had to cut 3 mins out on the re-release.

Ghoulies was released after the VRA. I have the rental version of Ghoulies on the EIV label in the UK and it is cut slightly more that the American PG 13.
