Title: I'm Back
Post by: Andrew on January 29, 2002, 03:17:10 AM
But Katie is in the hospital.  No idea about an update this week; more when I have time to pass it.

Andrew, is Katie allright?

Is there anything you need?

Did you force her to watch one too many B-movies and her mind snapped?

Sir, i hope it's nothing serious. She deserves a medal for putting up with just your film collection.

Well Andrew I must say... I hope Katie's alright... i don't know her either, but she sounds important.... maybe an independent film to make her feel better?...

Title: Status

Thank you everyone.

Katie is my wife.  She had her gall bladder removed about one hour after my post and is now home.  I'm playing nurse (just as silly as it sounds) and will be on leave to help her until she is able to move around independently.

So, there should be an update tomorrow with "The Last Dragon" and I'll get all this email answered too.  Right now sleep is looking really, really good.

For what it's worth:  My friend's wife had problems with her gall bladder for probably two years.  She was miserable.  The doctors finally got around to removing it.  When I stopped by their house on a "get well" visit she gave me a huge smile.  That was probably the first time I had seen her smile in a year or two.

After her recovery she lost weight and was happy and active again.  The only thing that p**ses her off now is the fact that the doctors waited so long to perform the operation.

I hope your wife's operation turns out as well.

OUCH! Yeah my dad had a serious health issue with his gall bladder a few years ago. He had surgery and got it removed. He recovered and has been fine since. I'm sure it will be similar with Katie. Andrew, I don't know you and Katie personally, but having been in a similar position, I think I understand what your going through. Here's wishing you both the best.
