Title: A curious link between Running Scared, X-men 3, and Ultra-Violet

That link, of course, is Cameron Bright.  Anyone else notice this?  He is playing almost the exact same role in all three films.  A somewhat troubled youth who in some way effects the balance of power amongst three groups of people - essentially, the MacGuffin of the film (well, he's a bit more than that, especially in Running Scared).

In X-men 3, he is a boy who is the source of a "cure" for mutants.  He is pursued by 'good' mutants, 'bad' mutants, and held by a powerful corporation with the army on its side.

In Running Scared, he is a boy who shoots his stepfather with a gun used to murder undercover cops.  He is pursued by the man who possessed the gun and was supposed to dispose of it, various criminal elements, and the police.

In Ultra-Violet, he is a sort of cure for a certain type of people that populate the world.  He ends up pursued by Violet, her semi-allies, and the corporate types that created him.

Seems like an odd coincedence, considering these roles were back-to-back-to-back.  Somewhat reminiscent of Mena Suvari's three virginal roles.

Yeah, Cameron Bright, the new creepy kid du jour.  He was in Godsend and Birth, too.  I think it was Birth, anyway.

I really really liked Running Scared, though.  Especially the bathroom scene at the sicko's house.  I was watching that thinking "what the f...?"
