Title: Steele Justice (1987)
Post by: Neville on August 11, 2006, 04:48:51 PM
If you are looking for one of those 80s crapfest where a Vietnam vet kills oriental people from start to finish, look no further. It has everything!

- Al Leong as an oriental thug. And he dies twice!

. A cheesy prologue set in the last day of the Vietnam war, where we met the main character's Vietnamese nemesis.

. Cheesy synth score, together with a synth ballad for the scene our hero works out against a setting sun.

- Ronny Cox as the hero's sergeant. Or something.

- A hero with a mullet and some muscles.

- A Vietnamese sidekick (see, it's not a racist film) that gets killed almost inmediately.

etc.

Ronny Cox in a cheesy Vietnam vet kills Asians flick?  I've got the find this one.  I'm trying to think if I HAVE seen it,though.  I watched A LOT of movies like this in the 80's.

And it's got Shannon Tweed as well, although no nudity this time. Forgot to mention that.

Then why even bother putting her in the film? For her thespian skills? For her technical consultant experience in the realm of anti-Communist proxy warfare and paramilitary operations? Because Gene Simmons was on tour at the time and she wanted to get out of the house; oh wait, I don't think they had hooked up yet. Shannon Tweed not naked in a film, it's like using a Ferrarri to run a paper route, you could do it but what a damn waste!

Ronnie Cox as a sergeant? Is he grouchy in this one? He's got to be grouchy or at least cranky or he's no fun to watch.

Oh yeah, Ronnie Cox is as cranky as action movie sergeants can get. He even threats the Hero with prison at some stage.
