THE MAGIC SWORD (http://imdb.com/title/tt0056211/) - Great little fantasy film starring Basil Rathbone. A princess is taken to a sorcerors castle and the King sends out his best man whom he promises her hand in marriage, but George a sorceress son also volonteers to rescue her as they must face the seven curses of Lodak. Along the way the battle a giant ogre and face other creepy dangers, monsters and a dragon. The make-up is very good especially on Maila Nurmi (Vampira) as has some good monster scenes. The have have double headed twins that speak in unison. This is definately a B-movie fantasy film that is well done. Picked this DVD up for .50 cents. Great deal and you will not be disappointed. I really enjoyed this film.

This is a Mr. B.I.G. film (Bert I. Gordon) and one of my favorites. Definitely a B-movie classic. Even the dragon at the end is pretty cool for a low budgeter! Estelle Winwood is great as the witch Sybil.
And, of corse, a great MST3K!
I own this film on VHS. It's an old favourite. I watched it for the first time on tv in french when I was a kid, because I liked the title 'L'epee Enchante'. You don't need the dialogue to understand what's going on. Gotta love what happens to Sir Branton...
Am I mistaken,or is this the same film ST.GEORGE and the 7 CURSES under an alternate title? I have a copy of Famous Monsters #13 (1961) and it seems to be the same film.In the photos,it shows pinhead guy, birdmen, and Vampira as an old hag.And it's directed by Mr.BIG.Looks real cool!
Yes, it's the same film.
Fun flick. I picked up the dvd a while back. The siamese twin character is a hoot.
It has some classic lines too, like when the french knight explains why he wandered off with a pretty girl.....
