I just got back from seeing this. It's awesome, Jackson is great in it. It's better I thought it would be becaues I thought it was going to be a campy cooky movie.
The characters aren't much but that's not the point, the point is there's a bunch of ****** snakes on a plane.
There's plenty of moments that made me go 'ouch' and shook me up.
Go check it out.
4/5 just because it's pretty much what a summer movie should be:fun.
But I strongly recommend NOT taking the kids to this.
Now, if it were playing at the Bijou, that'd be something.
I saw it today, but I can only rate it 2.5 out of 5. There was just too much that didn't make sense for me to give it a higher rating (even if it is just summer escapist entertainment). Not bad, but I can't recommend it.
*spoilers*
Y'know the one thing I can really complain about is that giant boa. I thought we were going to see more of it but I was rather disappointed. I even hoped that Jackson was going to fight it with a knife near the end of the movie.
Oh well.
Oh yeah and I know you're not suppose the suck out the venom of a snake with your mouth.
Saw SNAKES ON A PLANE this afternoon. Loved it. Lots of fun................Two thumbs up.
Someone here in Phoenix took a couple of snakes into an AMC theater where "Snakes on a Plane" is playing and let them loose. Talk about the Real expirience.
Yea, read it on Drudgereport yesterday. Crazy............I hear the authorities are still looking for those responsible.

An idea William Castle would have loved!!!(If he was psycho.)
Saw this Sunday night. I have to say, this was the most fun I've had at the movies all year. I loved it, I really did! Even bought the soundtrack. hehehe. Oh, it was cheesy, stupid plot, and some bad effects, but still. I thought it was funny and had a couple of, well, ok, ONE jolt moment. But I was surprised at how many good people were in it....I didn't realize before hand, so it was a treat to be sitting there and seeing not only Sam Jackson, but Lin Shaye! And I like Bobby Cannavale (from the Station Agent and Shall We Dance?. Hate the Gere, but love that movie.)
Anyway, I really enjoyed it.
My son and I went yesterday and had a blast. How come nobody has mentioned the Hiss-o-vision effect?
Okay, the CG snakes were kinda cheesy, the whole concept is beyond ridiculous, but the actors all played it straight. Sam Jackson was right, this is basically a high budget Roger Corman movie for 2006.
Loved, the "gay" male flight attendant, Three G's entourage, and the trash talking copilot.
"Great , snakes on crack!"
"I didn't you you were going to be the sky-candy on this flight. You're looking especially delicious this evening".
I love David Koechner!
Just saw it and had a great time. It is silly beyond words, but incredible fun. The fate of the dog was a nice touch. I was wondering the whole time what would happen to it. Also, they stuck to some of the traditional disaster movie codes, such as sex = death. I was kinda hoping that something spectacular would happen with the kickboxer. He was underused as a character. Still it is a blast.
