Title: SYD BARRET IS DEAD.Can anybodyconfirm this??????

Somebody just told me Syd is dead. PLEASE confirm or not this for me!

This is kinda old news, per Google, The Times of London reported July 11 that Barrett died the previous Friday (July 7) at the age of 60 from complications of diabetes.

Arthur Lee, leader of the influential but woefully underappreciated 60s band Love also died recently, Aug 3 from luekemia. Seek out the albums "Forever Changes" and "Da Capo".

Syd, Arthur Lee, Skip Spence, Screamin' Jay Hawkins, Screamin' Lord Sutch, crazed madmen of rock all gone. Guess that just leaves Roky Ericson, and ? (of ? and the Mysterians).

Kevin Coyne died this year as well --
Marjorie Razorblade, In Living Black and White, and about 30 other records --

Oh wait, Adam Ant is still alive and supposedly dealing with mental illness.

But Wildman Wesley Willis died a few years ago as well.

I think I would go mad if I was Adam Ant.(Or  Atom Ant, for that matter.)
