Title: Evil Dead 2
Post by: loyal1 on September 19, 2006, 11:26:29 PM
I just saw this for the first time a few nights ago.  I know I know, shocking right?  I have seen Evil Dead and I have seen Army of Darkness and love them both, but i have to say that Evil Dead 2 is probably my favorite of the three.  I enjoyed every moment of that damn film.  I am planning an Evil Dead trilogy party...anyone want to come to Florida to attend?  Beer and movie candy welcomed!

Right now in my head I am thinking about when he cut off his hand and in the next scene you see him moving a stack of books and right on the top is a copy of A Farewell to Arms by Ernest Hemmingway.  How great is that?  And I really just love the camera work.  Who says you can't make something priceless out of la low budget?  It takes a lot more talent to make gold out of so little than to make a decent film with all the money you need.

And I am serious about crashing the Dead party.  :)

Great film!
Sam Raimi has stated that the Three Stooges provided a lot of the inspiration behind the film.

My favorite line in the entire film is just one word, "Workshed!" when his girlfriend's head bites down on his hand.

Here's a cool pic:
