Title: Blacula on TV
Post by: J.R. on February 11, 2002, 01:52:19 AM
The 1972 blaxploitation flick "Blacula" -He's Dracula's soul brother- has been on Showtime Beyond a lot lately. It's a really underrated film (though it probably still deserves a place on this site). Does anyone else have a soft spot for this film?

I obtained a copy of BLACULA fairly recently, and it is a great film in it's own right. I just find it hard to find a copy of the sequel SCREAM BLACULA SCREAM. Do you know where I could find it?

I know that it's available on video on the "Soul Collection", a series that has a lot of '70s blaxploitation movies for between 7 and 10 bucks. It's not as good as the original, but it does have Pam Grier! I know for sure it's available on www.cdnow.com.

I've seen it, and I liked it, too. Especially, William Marshall as Blacula. Probably the best portrayal of a vampire done by a blac k actor. There was also a sequel to it called "Scream, Blacula, Scream," but, as J.R. has said, it is not as good as the original. Probably, because William Marshall wasn't in it as much. Enjoy!
