Title: TCM TONIGHT ! ! ! Faster p***ycat Kill Kill
Post by: Scott on October 20, 2006, 08:58:06 PM
FASTER p***yCAT KILL KILL (1965) will be on Turner Classic Movies (TCM) early Saturday morning Oct. 21 at 2 a.m. Eastern Time ! ! !  That's just 4 short hours from now. Unfortunely I can't stay up tonight and I no longer have a recording device. Maybe I will wake up some how. Can you believe this is going to play on cable TV? Just saw the ad on TCM  a little while ago.

It's part of the TCM's underground films that they have been running lately.

It's worth renting, so you can rewind and rewatch the crucial moments -- No other film quite like it -- even Myer's' other pictures --

great film. not your standard russ meyer breast-fest. very surreal and entertaining movie.

fun-fact: in 1998 I e-mailed tura satana via the link on her webpage (dont know if its still up) and told her how much I liked the film. she responded and said thank you. :)

This one is probably the most tame of Russ Meyer's films, but also quite possibly my favorite.  It has a darker and more gritty feel than many of his other movies (that I have seen).  That feeling is definitely aided by it being B&W.

Good stuff for anyone who caught it and I was surprised it would pop up on TCM.  They did a bit of cutting here and there I suppose?  On the other hand, I do not remember it being all that crazy.  You know, compared to stuff like "Up" and "Beneath the Valley of the Ultravixens."

It's high on my list along with El TOPO and HOLY MOUNTAIN.
