EPCOT Center is called Spaceship Earth, BTW.
Anyone have any idea if MST3K did this movie because it sounds like a top contender.
Classic, all i got to say is classic, i remember seeing this movie when i was younger, and i guess its part of the whole star wars sci fi that hit the big screen in the 70 era.
I gotta see it again to see how well it aged.
This is, of course, a remake of the British science fiction film from 1936, "Things to Come" w/ Raymond Massey, Ralph Richardson, and Cedric Hardwicke. Which, of course, you will most likely never see reviewed here, as it regarded as being one of the greatest British films of all time.
But there was one worthwhile part to this movie. Getting to watch Carol Lynley run around in that tight spandex suit.
Reminds me of a certain Yardbirds song...hmmm...
THis movie is great expensive to buy on DVD but still i dont regret one bit.
I have been greatly deceived when i saw StarCrash again, has a kid i loved that movie even more then Star Wars.
I have bought Battle Behond The Stars and still love it very much, and when i bought The Shape Of Things To Come i was very happy to see it aged beautifully.
The movie is great and brings back so many good souvenirs. At least Hollywood didnt do all thoses useless remakes all the time and actually took time to make good sci fi movies.
I've it as a child and have been searching it for years now!

I just watched it last night, it is bad, Bad BAD. The horrible music, bad sound, the unnecessary foreground elements in a lot of the shots, the plot, the Star Wars rip-off moments, the kids - all these combined in the same movie, unbelievable! Still, I call it unwatchable, skip it. It's like watching a porno movie without the sex. The DVD is over $20 too, this should be in the 3 for $10 bargan bin at most. Thankfully NETFLIX has it if you are still curious.
This movie was filmed in and around Toronto. A friend of mine worked on the crew and refused to talk about it other than to say "What a piece of CR*P". The moon base was not Epcot Centre, but a water front park locate on the shores of Lake Ontario called Ontario Place. When I saw this movie you should have heard the groans from the Toronto audience as they recognised the park.

Truly a turkey of a film that deserves to listed in any list of the worst ever made.
Afraid to say that MST3K didn't do this one,though they should have.The only Jack Palance movie they did were OUTLAW OF GOR and ANGEL'S REVENGE..This one looks really bad..

I'll echo DEW and Cranston and say it's awful - definitely bad bad as it's so boring. Although there are some bright spots such as Palance being boffed on the head by a falling fake beam and the 1950's robots (how could they think these would be anything other than laughable). The cover art/poster is misleading as it shows ray guns when there aren't any in the movie. The only weapons are pointy poles to poke the robots with. Amateur effects, threadbare sets, plot-full-of-holes and the worst acting.
Huge respect to Blue Underground for putting it out on blu-ray though. It's a shame The Humanoid hasn't got one. Can only assume there a rights issue or problem with the print.
