Question:
Which batman movie was worse?
Option 1: Batman:the Movie
Option 2: Batman and Robin
Personaly i think it is no contesst, but i would like to see what you guyz think.
So which was worse guys? (oh, and by "batman:the movie" i mean the Adam West one. not Michiel Keaton)
Batman the movie with Adam West. At least Batman and Robin had good production values.
Batman: The Movie was a lot of fun. Yes, I know it had none of the darkness associated with the comic book character. Yes, the script was ludicrous. But just to watch Adam West prancing around with a bomb and refusing to throw it overboard because there is a family of ducks in the water is almost endlessly entertaining. Plus the sheer talent of the performers is outstanding: Frank Gorshin, Burgess Meredith, and Cesar Romero are all wonderful to watch as the supervillains. Yes, I grew up watching the series, so the movie will always hold a place in my heart, but it is still a fun movie. All I can really recall about Batman and Robin is that I saw it. Nothing really sticks in my mind.
I voted for Batman and Robin mainly due to it's pure spandex cheesiness. However, I absolutely love that movie. Shark Repellant spray, sea life sacraficing throwing themselves in front of missles and quotes like "Some days you just can't get rid of a bomb" all make it a most excellent viewing expierience.
Batman and Robin sucked. But BATMAN-THE MOVIE-thats a film to be reckoned with! And Wotta cast! Too bad Egghead didn't show up,that would've been Eggcellant!!!
Yea, i agree with the majority of the people respnding to this. Batman:the Movie was waaaay more easy to sit through.
The original "Batman: The Movie" is a lot of fun. Everyone who has seen it remembers Batman looking everywhere for a place to ditch that pesky bomb. Turn this way - baby carriage, turn that way - a family of ducks. Hahaha!
There was one bit of the movie that I could have done without, which was Batman being, um, aroused by Ms. Kitka.
It is a shame that typing "Batman" into the IMDB places this movie under "Other Results," rather than the top set of selections. This is an old, but fun movie.

Indeed!
Was gonna use the bomb quote myself. It speak for many a movie producer, i'll clue ya!
Want more fun? Watch this in French! "Le Batman du Ro-bin!" It IS to laugh!
I like Batman The movie more. Batman And Robin marked the end of the franchise for years to come. Like Derf nothing sticks in my mind about the movie. I actually saw most of it a month ago and I can't remember a damn thing about it now.
I like how in Batman: The Movie, Batman's leg is only in the water for a split second, but when he is raised out there is a shark on it. It's like the shark was just waitng for him under the surface, mouth wide open. Plus, him beating it with his fist sent my friends and I into fits of laughter.
Batman The Movie, pure fun to watch :teddyr:, Batman And Robin, absolutely forgetable
Do you mean the one with Val Kilmer in it?

Do you mean the one with Val Kilmer in it?
No. George Clooney. I don't think Kilmer was a bad Batman/Bruce, But i still wasnt to fond of Batman Forever. To campy and......neon. Whats up with Joel Shoelmocker and NEON? jeez. And dont even get me STARTED on those rubber nipples.
Batman and Robin, no contest! What type of hero needs nipple armor?! LOL!
In all the Batman movies, (the new ones) the first with Michael Keaton, and the last, Batman Begins are in my opinion the best of the lot, the rest are just ho hum.
Batman the Movie is a classic...the movie is hilarious. Anyone recall when they're in the Bat copter and they get hit with the missile and crash land...in a foam rubber convention? How can you beat that? And the bomb? The dialogue is killer too! There just is so much about that movie that makes it awesome. I am a big fan of the Dark Knight because that is the dark and brooding Batman the way I think he should be but...this film is just too good (or is that "bad"?) to not love it.
I saw "Batman - The Movie" some months ago. I absolutely loved the movie in '8, and has aged well. The only fault I found was that the action bits were poorly excuted, but gotta love Keaton's batman, Basinger as Vicky Vale and Jack Nicholson's antics.
On the other hand, "Batman and Robin" almost cost me my girlfriend at the time. Enough said.
I should probably watch Batman and Robin again now that Mr. Freeze is my Governor. It is surreal going into the DMV and seeing his picture on the wall.
The original Batman movie is awesome beyond words.

I cant stand A.S. as Mr Freeze. Freeze is supposed to be sucha serious and *ahem* cold charecter and Batman and robin just made him waaaaay to damn goofy. and not in a good way like the viillains of Batman: The Movie.

It just doesn't really say "cold hearted and evil" to me.
Batman and Robin for sure....Confession time I did think Alicia Silverstone was kinda hot in the Batgigl costume...
Ozzymandias speaks: Why do we just pick on Clooney and West when Robert Lowrey's 1948 movie gets of scott free? AAAAARRRRGGHHH! That has to be the only version where Batman and Robin get their butts kicked in every fight. Also John Duncan had to be the oldest Robin in history. I think he the same age as Robert Lowrey. When I was four my dad made me a Batman cape out of an old table cloth and I looked more like Batman wearing that than Robert Lowrey did. The cliffhangers suck too. It's like Batman and Robin run into a building and the episode ends with the announcer saying "Will Batman and Robin come back out of the building?" Also we know who the Wizzard is from the begining.
Sorry that is the worst Batman ever.
Ozzymandias has spoken!!!

Yeah, I agree...I could have just watched her running around in that costume for the whole movie.
You have to admit this is a paradoxical question on a bad movies message board.
Assuming we all have tastes in film that could be called eccentric, ahem,
Most of us here have an esoteric understanding of the various levels of entertainment a piece of film can possess. We can analyze and appreciate even the lousiest flick and come up with at least one way to enjoy it. Even if it involves drinking games.
So as a Bad Movie fan I declare all versions of the Batman equal on each of their respective levels of entertainment.
The Good: John Glover, Vincent Schiavelli, Ed Begley Jr., Tracey Walter, Jack Lalane, Pfeiffer's vinyl, green Q-marked tights on the bigscreen, Commadore Schmidlap.
The Bad: Alfred croaks..., Kim Basinger, Chris O'Donnell, Alicia Silverstone, Mutated Penguin man, Burton's a stickler for continuity.
The Ugly: Bat-Nipples, Prince, Mustachioed Joker, Pat Hingle.
I also apologize for being a rambling boob.

Heh, did anyone notice that Batman and Robin both had rubber nipples, but Batgirl didn't? I found that kinda funny.
Would I be a perv if I said I noticed she didn't have any? :teddyr:

Only if you then followed that up with a story about stalking Alicia Silverstone for months, trying to peek in her window to find out whether she has them in real life. :teddyr: Not that I'd know anything about that. Um, er, bye.

No, no...nothing like that...I mean, Kate Beckinsale would get so p**sed at me if she knew I was stalking Silverstone...

Not to mention that if you did, then you'd have both Batgirl and Selene out to kick your backside. Although that could be fun if that's your thing...

In my opinion the best Bat Girl is Yvonne Craig, from the series with Adam West and Burt Ward, when I was a young man I found watching her on TV was something I just had to do, now that I'm older I can't seem to remember why
Personally, I think Batman Forever was the worst. Yes, I would rather watch Batman and Robin than Batman Forever.
However, of the two choices, Batman and Robin is definitely worse than the Adam West Batman movie.
EDIT: My favorite part of Batman: The Movie is at the end, when Batman and Robin realize they've reassembled the UN delegates (or whatever) incorrectly and swapped all their personalities. Batman turns to Robin and says, more or less, "Robin ... we really screwed up. Let's get out of here before anyone notices." And they do!
You have to love the original BATMAN (1967).
