In order to stop the tide of poisonous monsters, Australia might task its military with killing cane toads. Maybe they should do the same with rabbits.

The mighty cane toad refuses to let me ignore it.
I just about fell down laughing on a New York subway platform one night. Todd and I were going somewhere and went down into the subway. At the platform was a poster for "Cane Toads: An Unnatural History" that quoted the one wacko guy about the toads mating in front of him and his wife, on their lawn. Todd had sent me a picture of it some time before, but running smack into it in person was too funny.
The review is one of the more popular ones here on the site, judged by the number of people who read it every month.
Given the performance of the Australian military in the Emu War, I'm sceptical.
