Title: Where do I know him/her from???
Post by: Neon Noodle on December 31, 2006, 11:11:58 AM
This happens to me almost every time I watch a movie. Best example was the movie SAW.

I'm watching the movie and I realized that I knew Danny Glover's partner "Sing" from somewhere. I'm still watching and enjoying it, but my eyes were going up and to the left while I worked on where I had seen him. I could picture him saying a movie line, but the words weren't spoken.

After about 20 minutes, the quote "No problem....just rush hour" went thru my head. I finally realized this guy played "Sang" in Rush Hour and he had blond hair.

Another one was the last X-Men movie. The kid who played the young Warren Worthington (Angel) looked really familiar, and eventually the quote of "I can't wait to start a dodgeball game!" hits me. Yep, he played the kid in the Patches O'Hoolihan video for the Dodgeball movie.

Does anyone else have something like this? It's like having a mental itch that I can't scratch.

Happens to me all the time.  Sometimes Katie helps me out, because she has a pretty good memory for faces.  Still, she did not help me with the most recent difficult one I can think of:  figuring out the identity of a much younger Scott Thompson in Millennium. In my experience Vincent Schiavelli always seems to pop up in the most random places. Mental patient, math teacher, assassin

My wife and I go through this all the time, and a lot of the time it goes something like this:

hey isn't that the girl from, you know.

yeah, she's in that series with what's his name, Don Knotts.

no it was F Troop

Occasionally it's taken an hour or so to think of the person's name and it can be really funny when the silence is broken by one of us shouting out an actor's name.
