Title: Even More Movies Of the weekend!
Post by: systemcr4sh on February 17, 2002, 12:09:33 PM
This weekend me and a few friends picked up:

1. Q: The winged serpent

Allready fans of Larry's other works, we checked it out. I think I liked it the most out of all the other people, they wanted me to fastforward through all the talking but I didn't mind. Even though there was a lot of talking nearing the end It wasn't boring. And Micheal Moriarty is great in it. Is it just me or does he have a knack for playing the crazy guy in movies. Its just amazing how well he can play insane people, or people GOING insane. Some good gore and a good ol' pointless breast shot makes this one to check out.

2. Skeeter

Was it just me or was there ALLMOST NO MOSQUITOS IN THAT MOVIE AT ALL! After seeing mosquito, and then seeing this one tucked away in the corner we coulden't help ourselfs to try it. Man. I wish we never saw this movie. Its terrible. Nothing cool happens the whole movie allmost. Over 90% of movie is boring dialogue. Not until the last 5 min do you even get anything cool happening. And its not that cool at the end anyway. For the first 90 min you get like, 2 or 3 kills. And you don't even get to see them practically. Skip this.

3. Logans Run.

Unfortunatly we didn't have time to watch it last night, But I'll be watching it today. I can't resist movies that are fames to be cult classic. I'm sure I'll like it. I heard there was alot of nudity in it for a movie thats rated "PG".

Anyway, I'll check back in after Logans Run.

I saw "Logan's Run," when it first came out. Probably, because it was filmed just south of where I lived at the time. Actually, later on, I moved to one of the towns, where it was filmed. If you see anything that looks like a water garden in the film, that is where I live now. Not the water garden, the city. It had a good cast, as well.
Michael York, Peter Ustinov, Richard Jordan, Farah Fawcett (before she married Lee Majors, I think), Roscoe Lee Browne, and Jenny Agutter.
The movie spawned a short-lived television series.
Also check out the book on which the movie is based. Plus the two sequels to the book. Enjoy!

I got...

Maniac Cop
Okay movie. I liked the 3rd one better, just because of the scene where Cordell is on fire and still driving his squad car, but it's a good movie nonetheless. And it has Bruce Campbell, so there's good points right away.

Evolution (DVD)
It's not Ghostbusters 3, but it's a damn good substitute for the movie that every ghosthead wish would happen, but won't. And Julianne Moore is particularly sexy in this movie. Plus...DONKEY LIPS~!

Skeeter:Bad?Yes. But it is a guilty pleasure of mine. VERY guilty pleasure. That crazy guy who has his wife stashed in the trunk of the car cracks me up!!!
