No kidding.

Video of the creature at: http://www.fark.ru/media/video/prikols6/i1645
Might want to mention that the sight where the video is hosted is NSFW. Strange looking fish, I wonder what it really is.

Nope. Just
hungry!
Oh great, thanks Russian fisherman. Now we're gonna have an alien invasion that's going to destroy us all.
Time to break out the Slim Whitman records.
They ate it?!!! Clearly they haven't leaned the value of capitalism, as they could have kept it an sold it for a tidy profit.

Yeah, that's a possibility. Anyway, at least this shows us how wrong all those sci-fi writers (except those from "Futurama" if your prophecy comes true) were about our "first contact".

RC,
Tell us how you really feel.
im with RC though i mean really, that p**sed me off cause i like all that cryptozoology/anomaly s**t and they actually FOUND some wierd creature in the flesh some scientist could have studied. id rather read about that than the death of anna nicole smith.
It really is a f@cking p**ser! They had the sense to film it, they MUST have realized how unusual it was....than what the HELL possesed them to EAT IT. How can they be so...so....braindead? I hope it was a radioactive mutant, a result of Chernobyl, and they :hatred:DIE!
Why'd they eat it rather than turn it over to scientists or the proper authorities (do they have those in super corrupt Russia)?
Like the saying goes "Grub first , then ethics."
Did the film Leviathan ever get shown over there?
Um, the "alien" is just a skate (a relative of rays and sharks). They show the underside, which we don't see often, but it's a skate. The "eyes" are actually its nostrils. There's nothing mysterious or otherworldy to it. No reason for outrage. Everyone, find your happy place... ...Ooooooohm, Ooooooooohm, Oooooooohm. Come on, let's meditate...
Yeah, just a skate.
Well,sh1t.Stupid f#cking russkies got me all wired up fer a dam common :hatred: fish? Of course they did. Lying commie basterds.

Ok, I realize you're upset, as I am, but seriously, calm down a little. Wishing death to them is bit much, don't you think?
yeah. After awhile,I was just kinda playing with it...I'm a cartoonist...I like to play with the absurd...
That fish-thing is going to give me nightmares! It looks like an alien!
reminds me of a thing I saw in a book.
there was a guy that had take some fishbones and the jaws from one of dose and tried to sell it ass a "dead alien"
Indeed skates are a very common fish most often unwanted bi-catch caught in fishing gear. Most fishermen would just throw it back in the ocean...not eat it.

I find that book today and I was wrong about that one, they was sold as baby dragons, not aliens....
Skates were also likely the basis of the legends of one of the oddest Sea Monsters believed to be waiting for Medieval sailors: "Sea Bishops" or "Sea Monks".

Those religious sailors would try to get the fishies to bless their boats; those godless Rooskies just eat 'em!
