THE GUY WITH SECRET KUNG FU (1981) (http://imdb.com/title/tt0186909/) - This is a good one. Two hero's dressed in white (who have different last names claim to be brothers a few times during the film). They help out a few females in distress and take on the Dragon Gang headed up by a guy in a red robe who is master of a Toad style Kung Fu complete with croaking sounds and a beautiful female leader who shoots spear objects from a small staff gun. Many well choreographed old style Kung Fu fight scenes as our two hero's take on the gangs guards, a Kung Fu wizard, giant demon possessed zombie, and the two leaders of the Dragon Gang in the final battle. You'll also get a kick out of the provincial judge who when approaching this particular female you always here wolves in the background. The hero's use sledge hammers to nail the giant into the ground and send a coffin flying through the air with the gangs leader inside to end the film while our two main characters stand heroically in a freeze framed moment. The wardrobes, sets, comedy, action was all well about average. The film even seems to have Italian synthesizer music all through it. A tune that I've heard before, but not sure if it was a Italian horror or action film that the music came from.
Bought it for $1 distributed by Digiview Entertainment (http://digiviewus.com/video.php).
(8 out of 10 Stars)  Eight stars within its genre. Enjoyed it very much. This film is what watching old style Kung Fu films is all about.

Saw this in the Kung Fu 50 movie pack. Best part is how wrong the title is. There are TWO guys, and there isn't any secret kung fu. Solid and entertaining film.
Your absolutely correct about that Jim H. :bouncegiggle:
Tell me did you like the film? I really liked it.
So you watched it first, and liked it, does that you mean won or lost the game of chicken?
That's what I get for watching stuff I taped off of TV instead and getting out of the house this weekend for once.
Yaddo, actually I did watch this one last night because you mentioned that you were about to watch it, just to give some imput. This one is done just right in my opinion. Hope you also find it entertaining. I think you will.
Guess I beat you to it.
It aired on Canada's Drive-In Classics just tonight. Great stuff!

I quite enjoyed it. I don't remember it super well, cause at the time I watched it I was watching a couple kung fu flicks a night for like two weeks. I liked the big zombie guy, and the film was much better made than many of the other films in the collection.
That's what I thought. It's a better quality production compared to some of the other cheaper Kung Fu DVD titles out there.
Another interesting part is the coffin maker and his daughter. They didn't expand much on this, but it reminded me a little of FISTFUL OF DOLLARS which also had the coffin maker.
