Title: SINBAD OF THE SEVEN SEAS (1989)
Post by: Kester Pelagius on March 07, 2007, 06:13:53 PM
This is an Epic Bad Movie.  Possibly the best looking B-movie I've ever seen.  Considering it's utterly preposterous, mind numbingly ludicrous, the characters are shallow fantasy archetypes straight out of a very very very VEEEERY bad Dungeons & Dragons game, the villain is less competent than an Enron executive, and, most bizarre of all, the entire movie is framed as a bed time story told to a young girl by her mother this movie actually has a lot going on.

It just doesn't make much sense!

Still a must see flick.  Check out my slightly longer review at Mise-en-scene Crypt (http://blog.360.yahoo.com/blog-qzcELew6frWBZspks_7SsnUuv9VNTUA-?cq=1&p=197) but, for those who've never seen this, know that this is one amazing genre bending production.  It's at once a Arabian Nights Fantasy and sword-and-sorcery; yet with Lou Ferrigno as the star this manages to be a "muscleman" movie as well.  It's simply, utterly, outrageously unbelievable and yet. . yet . .

This is a must rent movie for bad movie night.

And while there check out my most recent article/rant Who is really to blame for piracy? (http://blog.360.yahoo.com/blog-qzcELew6frWBZspks_7SsnUuv9VNTUA-?cq=1&p=199)
