Sing along boys and girls, ok?
"We're cold slither
You'll be joining us soon
A band of vipers
playing our tune
With an iron fist
and a reptitle hiss
we shall rule!
We're tired of words
We've heard it before
We're not gonna play the game no more
Don't tell us what's right
Don't tell us what's wrong
Too late to resist
Cause Cobra is strong
We're cold slither
Heavy metal machine
Through the eyes of a lizard
In you will dream
When the venom stings
A new order brings
our control"
That should have brought a smile to some old 80s-cartoon-watchin' freaks like myself!
Ok, anyone know what cartoon this is from? Am I the only G.I. Joe fan here?! :)
yes I remember that song. I wasn't really a fan of GI:Joe, but I do remember that song.
I was a G.I. Joe fan but have mostly blotted out the episodes I didn't like. Since series TV's attempts at imitating rock or popular music mostly suck IMO when they use fake bands or music made just for the episode (they really make mainstream rap sound good by comparison), I tend to avoid or tune it out when they have a music themed episode.
But I thought Scum of the Earth from that episode of WKRP in Cincinnati was almost cool enough to want to listen if they had been a real band.
What's funny is that Cold Slither came on from time to time in the background of many a Transformers episodes too, which I noticed on the horribly bad episode with the nightclub gone bad.

I remember; they opened for the Average Joe Band.
Every cartoon in the 80s had to have a rock music episode. It was the law back then. Possibly the cheesiest ending of any Joe episode. Funny as hell now, but I'm sure I hated it at the time.

I love it. Cheesy but totally 80s...
