First of all, take a look at the totally misleading movie poster for this rip-off flick.

The producers of this movie got their hands on a 1969 flick called SAM'S SONG starring a young Robert DeNiro and Jennifer Warren.  They filmed new (terrible) footage with Anthony Charnota, Sybil Danning and a cast of other bad actors and then edited together scenes from both features into this incredible mess.  The plot of this pasted-together laugh-fest is as follows:

DeNiro plays Sam, a film editor who is cutting a porno flick.  One night in 1969, a mysterious figure wearing black gloves sneaks into his office and bashes him over the head, killing him.

Fast forward to "10 years later."  Sam's brother Vito (a stereotypical Italian gangster) is released from prison.  The first place he goes is to Sam's grave where, in a ridiculous monologue, he swears to find Sam's killer and avenge his death.

The rest of the movie involves Vito visiting various people and asking them questions about Sam's death.  This leads to flashbacks where scenes from the 1969 DeNiro flick are edited in.

This movie is pretty lame, but you might enjoy it for:

* A peek at DeNiro's early acting career;
* The new scenes, which often contain dialogue that is (unintentionally) funny enough to keep you awake for 90 minutes.

This movie is included in Mill Creek's SUSPENSE CLASSICS 50 MOVIE PACK.
