Ok, who else is into the fine DC animation since the 1990s? I love and have most of the Batman the Animated Series on DVD and I started collecting Batman Beyond episodes as well. I got the Justice League Season 2 DVD a few months back and now I recently acquired Justice League Unlimited Season 2, which was the final season that focused on none other than the Legion of Doom.
Let me tell you, it's definitely a step up from the 70s Superfriends.
Favorite Bad Guys:
Grodd and Lex (and their power struggle)
Bizarro of course (love it when lex tells him "Bizarro, Superman is your best friend"
Devil Ray (not afraid to kill ...even in a cartoon!)
Giganta (nice update from the 70s version)
Brainiac for sure
and last but not least, Darkseid (sp?)
Favorite Good Guys
Batman -nuff said. He has no special powers but is the detective.
Wonder Woman - Never used to like her much but now I have a new respect for her
Flash - I find him pretty funny and think it's even funnier he's voiced by the guy who plays Luthor in Smallville
Best Episodes:
The one where Flash and Luthor get their brains switched for an episode
The one with the stalker-esque Hawkman still has me laughing my ass off
When Luthor takes over the Legion of Doom
The Arena episode where a mind-controlled Wonder Woman lays the smack down on Hawkgirl, Black Canary, and the Huntress ...at the same time!
So, I have yet to get Season 1 of Justice League and Season 1 of JLU but I plan to have them all. It's amazing that most of the live action superhero movies are subpar (especially storywise) compared to the animated version.
So, if you have yet to watch any of these and have been a super hero fan at some point, I highly recommend giving Justice League a chanc.e
Count me as a fan. JL and JLU are some of the best cartoons of the 21st century!
Here's review I did of one of the JLU DVD sets:

I'm a fan too. I've covered a few episodes of the series in the TV Files for Gerry's site. Still have to catch a lot more of them though, if I can ever afford to purchase the DVD sets that is.
I thought the Justice League was a brilliant cartoon and then when I heard what they where going to be doing with Unlimited I couldn't contain myself :bouncegiggle: They are just exceptionally well done cartoons, the Animted Batman cartoon was also excellent although I find the new version to be aimed more directly at children and I'm not such a big fan of it. Has anybody checked out the Legion Of Super Heroes cartoons yet?
I have seen some episodes of Legion of SuperHeros and their like the new Batman geared mostly to kids. Also very "Superboy" heavy like this is suppose a new superman show.
I raise other question anyone check out the new Fantastic Four cartoon? Their out on dvd now but don't know much about them.
I'm gradually building my collection; presently, I have....
JUSTICE LEAGUE UNLIMITED, S. I&II
JUSTICE LEAGUE: NEW FRONTIER
JUSTICE LEAGUE: CRISIS ON TWO EARTHS
BATMAN, THE ANIMATED SERIES, S.I
BATMAN:GOTHAM KNIGHT
BATMAN / SUPERMAN MOVIE
SUPERMAN:DOOMSDAY
ALL STAR SUPERMAN
SUPERMAN / BATMAN: APOCALYPSE
It's definitely good stuff. I always liked when they would try and work in an obscure hero or villain.
Loved these shows. I liked the mind switch with Flash and Luthor. I must have laughed for about 5 minutes straight when I saw this clip for the first time. (Episode note-The Flash's mind is in Luthor's body)

They helped shape John Stewert's GL character-he wasn't a marine in the comics until these shows came out. I loved when any GL related character showed up. I also like the Roulette epsiodes because I was reading JSA at the time.
My husband,Alan Hopewell, got me into these series and I am hooked. This shows what great cartoons can really be.

No comment on Justice League, just wanted to welcome you to the board and say it's cool to have another husband/wife team posting on the boards!

For sure! That episode really cracked me up. :teddyr:
Justice League was a big deal around my house circa early 80's. Me and my older sister always watched the one with the wonder twins and Mtslplk however you spell it.

Giganta (nice update from the 70s version)
Yes I know who you're talking about. Apache Chief's Archenemy Giganta. I remember her from Challenge of the Superfriends back in the 70s. She was a very buff Texan girl dressed like a cave-woman. She wore animal skins that were able to stretch with her as she grew. A tough girl she was.
But in JLU, she was remade. Instead of animal skins, she was given a proper and frilly pink mini-dress that stretched with her as she grew. Her physique was also updated to fit more the norm for a woman. And her personality was made more feminine.
