Here's a really good paintball headshot. Complete with UT sound effect of course, and the obligatory multiple slow-mo's.

Heh!
That's what he gets for standing out in the open like that. :teddyr:
He must be new to paintball.
I had not seen that one before, but standing in the open when playing speedball is never advised. I am wondering why his head flipped back that much. Must have been a reflex from the hit (that is a lot of paint spray, it could be two or three balls - that or some after effects added by the video creator).
I kinda wondered why he was just standing there.
Could be a fake, I agree -- hard to tell.
It was hard for me to tell but, did he have a helmet on? Cause if he didn't, that had tohurt!!! :buggedout:
Dang! For a moment, I thought I had replied to this but could not remember. :tongueout:
Yeah, his first mistake was just standing there like an idiot.
As for it being a fake, I think it might be. First, his reaction is way overdone. He wouldn't have fallen to the ground and his head wouldn't have flown back like that from a single shot.
That being said, the shot could have come from a close range. When the camera pulls back, we see there isn't anyone even close to being in front of him. However, it looks like the shot came from his right where someone could have been.
It certainly does look like it hurts, but trust me - shots in the helmet are much better than shots in the crotch.

I was participation in a Paint Ball War with no gloves on, dumb mistake! I got shot in the hand it swelled up like a mellon. If that guy was not wearing a helmet, I think he will need a few thousand aprin.

I won't get into whether it was faked or not, but from where I was watching the video clip, it looks like the shooter was indeed standing to the player's right and slightly in front of him.
I took a shot by a very cheap pump action paint ball gun pointblank in the face once.
Luckily for me the worst part was spitting the paint out of my mouth.
damn is that stuff awful :bluesad:

I remember using just shop goggles for face protection. If you took a shot in the mouth, not only would it split your lip good, but you also got a mouthful of paint. Blood and paint is an awful taste. We got to wearing bandannas around our heads, to cover the mouth and to cover the ears.
Maybe I should also mentions becuase it was a cheap piece of crap that it was extremely underpowered. If you were 10 feet away it wouldn't even break the paintball.
so all I got was a bruise on my nose and a nasty taste of paint
So mines nothing compared to getting hit with a decent paintball gun like your hit.
