I find it kind of scary that there are not only serious fans of Manos:Hands Of Fate, But that a documentry about the making of the film was done and a sequel or a complete remake are constantly up for discussion.
that is all.
I've been a huge fan of M:THoF for a long time. I don't count myself among the creepy or obsessed. Bad movies usually try to succeed on some level. Even Plan 9 tries to be entertaining in it's badness. Manos fails on all levels. Bad acting, bad editing, bad sound, bad story, bad locations...The list goes on.
There have been bad movies before and since but none have touched the level of ineptitude that Manos does. I think it will stand for all time as the worst movie ever made.
I like Manos. It succeeds in the way that it (albeit unintentionally) has a certain authentic dreamlike quality with all it's badness.

I agree. It's a great movie not only because of its "badness," but also because of its weirdness. I'm not so sure the dreamlike quality is unintentional, but regardless of whether or not it was, I was really entertained by this movie, and not just in an MST3K sort of way.
