BTW-I consider these folks worst than Hulk Hogan in his worst movie--just IMHO.
Hallie Berrie
Wanda Sykes
Queen Latifa
Chris Rock (I used to like him but he's not funny any more)
Adam Sandler
Vince Vaughn
Owen Wilson
Jack Black
Lindsey Lohan
Mandy Moore
Claire Forlani
The sooner these people's careers are over, the better.
Nicolas Cage (with an handful of exceptions, I find him terrible)
Mark Wahlberg (have yet to see him give a performance I liked)
Adam Sandler (annoys me)
Will Ferrell (a bit more tolerable than Sandler but not by much)
Tom Cruise - the guy has exactly two facial expressions, and they both annoy me.
Jessica Simpson, as either a so-called singer or actress. Other than having big breasts, why on earth is that woman famous? Someone please tell me.
Jean-Claude van Damme - not sure why, he just irritates me.
Adam Sandler
Chris Kattan
Chevy Chase - I'm sorry, I just don't see why "Fletch" is supposed to be funny.
Renee Zellweger

Ben Stiller (I don't dislike him nearly as much as the other two, but for some reason his style annoys me - I guess I CAN stand him, but not by much).
. Val Kilmer....I dunno why...I guess he reminds me of this punk who used to hang around Lawton and steal...and he just seems too...I dunno...smug.
.Jean Claude Van Damme-Again...not sure why...
.Martin Lawrence- He always comes across like a jerk.
.Chevy Chase-Too much of a wiseass...too full of himself,I guess.
.Steve Guttenberg- I most not be alone here, because he kinda faded away.
. Alan Alda- "Mr. Sensitive". I don't mean to hurt you,Alan...but...you SUCK!
. Elliot Gould- Don't know why.
.Chris Elliot-HOW did this guy get into show biz?
.and the VERY WORST, MOST ANNOYING ,of ALL...PAULY SHORE!!!
.
Jack Black (annoyingly unfunny)

Big Breasts is all you need. Just ask Pamela Anderson.
Tom Hanks, he is always the same character. This annoyingly nice guy all-american characture.
Vin Diesel. First of all, your name isn't Vin; its Vincent. Second of all, everything he says sounds dazed and retarded. He kind of reminds me of Keanu Reeves in that regard.
Billy Bob Thornton. I can sum him up in two words; White Trash.

I think Tom Hanks, whom I love, might be over-rated as an actor; so there! I've said it!
I don't mind Vincent shortening his name to "Vin" and he has carved out a wee niche of his own, tho' I don't care . . . thanks for the good laugh.
Billy Bob Thornton was compellingly interesting in SLING BLADE playing a person one might describe as "retarded." Hm hm hm. :twirl:
I'm not sure why, but either one of these two no talent hacks drive me insane. I can't watch any film with them in it,
and yes that includes cult favorite Highlander.
Lambert bothers me more then Modine, maybe cause I keep seeing him in hundreds of Z movies.
The Rock
Vin Diesel
Johnny Knoxville
Rob Schneider (in movies he headlines, he's okay as a supporting actor)
Adam Sandler
And within the last decade or so:
Dennis Hopper
Jeremy Irons
Burt Reynolds
Jon Voight
Keanu Reeves, especially when he's sporting a phony British accent.
- Nick Cage, he usually seems like he's only half with it. If he doesn't look interested in the movie, why should I be? Can anyone guess the only reason I suffered through Wicker Man?
- Tom Cruise, used to love him, now I love to hate him (yes, along with everyone else).
- Will Ferrell, some people love him, I just don't. Perhaps it's because the last of his movies I saw made me want to scoop out my own brain with a rusty spoon.
- Eddie Murphy, hasn't made a good movie in ages. I confess I haven't seen Dreamgirls yet and have no interest in doing so, so it's possible he's made one without me noticing.
- Charlize Theron. Four words: Aeon Flux and Sweet November.
- Denise Richards

Wow...you guys have pretty much covered it. I can honestly say that I agree (to more or less an extent) to every lousy actor that's been mentioned.
UPDATE: I've thought of some more that I'm suprised haven't been mentioned yet:
Bruce Willis (He's a good actor, but he plays the same part in every movie he's in)
Ashton Kutcher (no talent whatsoever)
Anyone else who has ever slept with Demi Moore
Oh yeah, and Demi Moore
Julia Roberts
Will Smith (I havent seen any of his new stuff, but the guy annoys me)
Drew Barrymore ('nuff said)
Robert Whul
Sean Young

Pauly Shore ought to be brained with a jackhammer if he "acts" again.
Gotta disagree with Billy Bob Thornton, because of his role in Love, Actually. That sleazy president role was show-stealing.

As for her music, it sucks. Her name is okay with me.
Adam Sandler seems to strike a nerve with most of you, but I'd be willing to nominate the entire cast of Saturday Night Live dating back three decades. *shudder* And like cockroaches, no matter how much poison I scatter around my TV they seem to return with virility.
I also take quiet comfort in knowing that if there is a hell, there'll be a special theatre showing all the Steven Soderbergh films with Julia Roberts.
But as Jim Carey taught me in Eternal Sunshine, given enough time even the poorest artist may actually perfect his craft. As such I tend to filter my viewing based on the film's target audience rather its actors.
Well I have to admit to Stallone being mostly a guilty pleasure but he was darn good IMO in the Classic Rocky films and in COP LAND. Ahnold is another guilty pleasure who seems best suited to mostly non-speaking parts. I do like Bruce Willis although Fausto does have a point that his performances do seem all the same. Sean Young was great in BLADE RUNNER but sadly not much else. Charlize Theron was awesome in MONSTER but sadly not much else.
I completely agree with most of the other selections made especially Will Smith. Surprised no one has mentioned Cameron Diaz, great to look at but hardly a terrific actress.

However the one comic-turned-actor that really baffles me is Pauly Shore (or however you spell his name). Unlike most of the actors in his movies he's demonstrated no growth. Just look at who was in Encino Man and what they've gone on to star in!
Alas his schtick, much like Adam Sandler's, is that of being a lovable stoner retard. Which isn't offensive so much as boring and a bit sad as that's the only performance personae he seems to have.

Cameron Diaz had a tough time making features like THERE'S SOMETHING ABOUT MARY (1998) feel warm, and gave the over-long and disturbing, but nonetheless intriguing, VANILLA SKY it's only heart as a tragically hurt and pathetically used woman. Her resume may be a bit slim, but she's not in the "can't stand" category.

So, are you telling me there are no French-Canadians in Ontario? There's a lot where I live. My family came from Quebec to Rhode Island. Still, nothing wrong with a French name.
Yo, dawgs . . .
Or whatever the current terminology might be . . .
I've read over the lists presented, and I have to submit an overall dissenting opinion, to wit:
Given the number of acting classes and coaching etc. available in the modern Hollywood, it is almost impossible to find a genuinely "BAD" actor -- David Hasselhof notwithstanding -- . . .
I've read everyone's concerns, and I find that the shared problem here with designating "BAD ACTORS" is really an issue of . . . (wait for it . . .). . . BAADDD DIRECTION!!!
Think with me a bit here: Nicholas Cage, for example, is more than capable of giving an A++ performance: Witness "Raising Arizona" to prove my point.
Now, in that example, Mr. Cage was directed by the Coen Brothers, who have amply demonstrated their ability to conjure magic from the most lifeless of beings.
A good actor can often give a bad performance, given poor direction. Understand that most poor actors are mere puppets, as they have been taught to be, waiting for the tutelage of some Superior Director. When said Mr. Superior is lacking . . . well then!
Brando, Bogart, Dietrich, Orson Welles, Edward G. Robinson . . . many other names spring to mind -- Many actors took it upon themselves to ignore entirely the directions of an incompetent director & produce a stellar performance in sometimes C-grade muck. There seems to be no such determination today. Probably why so many actors think they need to form their own Production Companies.
Anyway, all the people being named herein are capable of giving brilliant performances. The modern problem is that there is NOBODY at the helm . ..
peter dictator/denny eric von stroheim
Cage's best performance, hands down, is Leaving Las Vegas. That alone has given him the right to choose whatever other projects he wants to do. I also thought The Weatherman was enjoyable, if I can use that word for it.
The question, though, is not which actors/actresses are "bad."
The thread is about the ones you CAN'T STAND.
Edit: Awwww, look at Tom Hanks with dose chubby cheeks and that bad hair...

You don't have to be black, white or purple to sound racist. You can still be black and sound racist if your list contains mostly black people. Haven't you ever heard of self-hating racists who hate their own race? I like on the USA up All Nite segment where Gilbert's hanging out with the RAMONES ,and is dressed up like them, trying to become a member, and they diss his a$$...funny! ( It's featured in the doc. RAMONES-RAW).

Amen to that brother. Her worst personality traits can easily be summed up by watching that SNL episode hosted by Pam Anderson where she plays McCarthy (Jenny, not Big Joe "Everybody's a damn dirty COMMIE!" McCarthy) in one of those GoatBoy skits as she farts and cackles and sluts it up with Tommy Lee (the drummer, not the guy who second fiddled himself to Jim Carrey in
Batman Forever as Joel Schumacher's version of Harvey Dent... who magically transformed from Billy Dee Williams into a half-white, half-purple all disco nightmare version of Two-Face...).
Speaking of GoatBoy, Jim Bruer can easily fit into this list the 98% of the time he's pushing the obnoxious level to 11... is there anybody the hyper, drunken, retarded, frat-boy-in-his-thirties thing works on?

actually I said quite the opposite if you read my post.
There are so many listed already that I completely agree with: Cruise, Willis, Zelwegger, Murphy, Hanks, So many annoying people. I laughed out loud when I heard (back when "rsisky business" was first out), that people LIKED Tom Cruise, , ,, He looked like such a buck-toothed dolt to me. I felt like a few of his movies (Top Gun for instance) he should have PAID to be in it, , he did nothing for the movie but the movie was (seemingly) written just to pump his ego. He acted like a 13-year old in it, , and the hot chick put up with it and slept with him? sad, sad, sad.
Two I've not seen listed:
Sean Penn: Funny in Fast Times, , , good in Bad Boys, ,, can't stand him in anything else, , He nearly ruined Colors IMO. .
John Goodman: I just can not care about any of his characters in any way, shape, or form. .
Also,
Halle Berry: Yea, she's annoying, , ,but gets kudos for letting the twins out in Swordfish, , I rather enjoyed that. .
Another one I can't deal with: Whoopie Goldberg, , , I can't watch anything she does because she is just so frigging UGLY. . . If I crapped something as ugly as her I would immediately go to the doctor and find out what was wrong. ..
Pardon me for going "all old school", but I absolutely cannot bear to watch any film starring that lisping wonder Jennifer Jones.
The exception to my "No Jennifer Jones Rule" is John Huston's hilarious BEAT THE DEVIL, with Jones and Bogart shissing at each other with their battlin' silibant 'S's'.
Look, If I am offending anyone I am sorry, but as far as funny black comics go.....there are very few if any---good white comics--well, the number keeps declining but there are still many many more---same goes with almost any comic of any race---but when it comes to black comics who are any good---it's like they are almost extinct!
Most of the good ones--like Eddie Murphy, Steve Harvey,Bernie Mac,Bill Cosby etc. are dying out---they were popular in the 80's but now the world of black comics has been invaded by unfunny idiots like Wanda Sykes, Queen Latifa, and comics who used to be funny but did something to make the constant humor they provided just vanish into thin air--like Chris Rock.
What really ticks me off is that they have plenty of hot black young actresses to choose from for a lot of these movies--and they choose the unattractive badly acting freak Hallie Berrie.
Ozzymandias speaks: Am I the only one who doesn't like Timothy Carey? He looks horrible and disgusting. He looks like he smells bad.Worst of all I can't understand anything he says. The only thing i made out from is part in Head was "You shouldn't make fun of a cripple." He's in one of the Beach movies and he keeps saying something like "booby."
I didn't know what I was going to put down for this until I saw him in an Untouchables episode last night. The character was kind of cool, but the only line you can make out was "His act stinks" (refering to a comedian).
Ozzymandias has spoken!!!

I don't mind Vincent shortening his name to "Vin" and he has carved out a wee niche of his own, tho' I don't care . . . thanks for the good laugh.
I do care when someone changes their name just to so it sounds cooler. It reminds me of that Simpson's episode when Homer changed his name to Max Power. While I'm on the subject Avril Lavigne's first name isn't Avril, its April.
She's also French-Canadian. April is sort of a common girl's name in the US so why not Avril in Quebec? (Note: I'm 75% French-Canadian :teddyr:)
As for her music, it sucks. Her name is okay with me.
she's from ontario, I know there are French-Canadians in ontario, but she isn't from Quebec.
So, are you telling me there are no French-Canadians in Ontario? There's a lot where I live. My family came from Quebec to Rhode Island. Still, nothing wrong with a French name.
actually I said quite the opposite if you read my post.
What a bunch of muck! How did I end up in that salad? I got you Rebel_1812, but I seriously doubt anybody else did!
Tom Green. Thankfully, his carrear has seemed to have evapotated. I wish he would.
Nicholas Cage, Tom Cruise, Whoopi Goldberg, Leo DiCaprio, Angelina Jolie and quite a few other pretentious and worthless celebs that people spend way too much time fawning over. People seriously need to get a life and stop worshipping these morons!

   I almost deleted my own comment,as I think Lugosi is the right hand of Something...but he wasn't worthless, and he actually had talent. (IMHO)
Pretty much all of these new comedians - Adam Sandler and the rest.
Whoopie Goldberg - can't stand her at all. She's not funny.
Elliot Gould - his face looks like something my kids would make out of Play Dough.
Robin Williams - seems like decades ago but he was so funny once. Now he's Mr. Sensitivity.
Jackie Chan - that slapstick-fu was funny for about five minutes. Now here we are 15 movies later.
Chris Rock - somebody just shoot him.
Vin Diesel - anybody who makes The Rock look like a good actor in comparison...that's just sad.
Elvis - my apologies to anyone who likes him, but I just can't stand him.
