'Spaceloft XL', carrying the remains of James Doohan, the actor who played Scottie on Star Trek, successfully launched in Truth or Consequences, New Mexico April 28, 2007. A search team continues to look for a rocket carrying ashes of Doohan almost two weeks after it hurtled to the edge of space from New Mexico, the company behind the launch said on Thursday. I don't know if I should laugh or cry...
For a moment I thought the rocket never returned to Earth, but reading the news piece I see that it did...it's just that no one has located it yet. He almost went from Star Trek to Lost in Space.
OT Question: What happens when the 200 guys ashes float far enough out into space, hit an alien world, and poison every resident there?
And out in the desert, a lonely prospector with his burro comes upon a crashed rocket. This whole thing sounds like a grade-B sci fi film. Maybe we can put T. J. Hooker on the case.

IF the ashes come back to life.
Why does the following keep running through my brain, with a Scottish accent:
I can't find them Captian, they must be stuck in the transporter matrix, some kind of feedback loop I suppose. . .
The finally found him. Of course, there was not much of a rush, so long as they finally found the capsule:

I was going suggest keeping an eye on Keith Richards. All those ashes..............
