[youtube=425,350]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YPnGPIMUnus

[youtube=425,350]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XC73PHdQX04

[youtube=425,350]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WRpcwACAFsw

[youtube=425,350]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GvIq_tUwRxo

Megadeth - 'Hangar 18'
http://youtube.com/watch?v=fLqdFnbHAlw
roswell, area 51, alien autopsies, government cover-ups, and long hair...in the 80's.
brilliantly misjudged.
Had to stop and have a walkabout after #3. Jan Terry Baby Blues, huh? The vocals remind me a bit of Sister Ugly and the Underwear-Less Girls, but the guitar playing much better.
6. Those Germans know how to make a bad video. And a bad song, too.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gfujC8NThXQ
5. Butt. "From A Distance."
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9KLI1IHfuZk
4. This one is very bad:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7IVCaMuDs4A
3. Elektronik Supersonik. Zlad is a genius.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GvIq_tUwRxo
2. Warning! Extremely painful! The song is called "Move Your Ass."
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nzQnQxa018Y
1. Still wiping blood out of my eyes and ears from this cover of "Final Countdown."
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pw8sNoodIDk
Three more, just for fun. I did more looking around, and was delighted to find videos from "Urgh! A Music War," which, frustratingly, is not on DVD as of yet. I consider these videos to be awesomely bad -- bad, the way we talk about movies, here.
If you only watch one of these, watch the Klaus Nomi at the end.
- The Cramps, "Tear It Up." Love the pants. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iCQ4QLFl01g
- Devo! "Uncontrollable Urge" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0BmxN3E548I
- "Total Eclipse," by Klaus Nomi. Love the boots. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aa1D3bAniXQ
zap - #6? ROFL, was that filmed in a hotel "I love the vay you talk"
#5 looks like something i'd see on public access tv in Austin
#4 i saw last night but thought it hurt too much to post on my thread (same sisters)
#3 this was #2 on my list
#2 ughhh
#1 holy s**te
I don't get THE CRAMPS - trying to be punk with a 50's sound? ick
no no on...devo rocks! Here's one of my favorite songs
[youtube=425,350]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k3MxuDk7wqo
...the video kinda scares me tho
This is turning into the bastard cousin of that "The Words Get Stuck in My Throat" thread.
Ugh!
Mrs. Miller "sings" It's Magic:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eGYTrXDF2DU (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eGYTrXDF2DU)
I have her 'Greatest Hits' CD! :smile:
ok, that's a comedy act....right?
oh and this is for real....someone needs to copy these songs in entirety to the net somewhere
http://www.wingmusic.co.nz/listen.html (http://www.wingmusic.co.nz/listen.html)
if you can find it...you gotta hear Back in Black
Supposedly Mrs. Miller was totally serious about her singing. She was a big hit in the 60s. Nobody seems to know if she was 'in' on the whole comedy thing or not.
EDIT: Link to 'Mrs. Miller's World:
http://www.mrsmillersworld.com/ (http://www.mrsmillersworld.com/)
The "spam-free" forum is chock-full of porn spam! Or maybe the folks who post there are just really twisted. :smile:
Seeing 'WING' in that link makes me think we're in for some Asian-licious warbling!
When I saw WING on South Park a few years ago I figured it was just some strange character they'd invented to mock that William Hung guy.
Little did I know...
YouTube used to have some clips from a live WING performance.
I remember Mrs Miller being prominently featured in Dr. Demento's 60 Second Audio Torture Chamber.
She did a wonderfully bad rendition of "Downtown." You know... "When you're alone, and life is making you lonely, you can ALWAYS GO..."
Let's see... here's an audio link. Listen, if you can!
http://franklarosa.com/vinyl/Audio/Miller_Downtown.mp3
And yes, I think the Cramps are easily one of the most unappealing bands of any I've seen. Those physics-defying pants are an 80's legend. (Kind of like Baba Yaga is a Slavic legend.) Klaus, though... Klaus was a real, truly original freak.
Thanks for the Devo link, Susan. :teddyr: That is one of my favorite Devo songs, too. They really were far ahead of their time...

Dear... God! I listened to a snippet of Hell's Bells on that page..
Velly pain. It make me velly pain.
Personally...the Cramps are one of my very favorite bands! I got BAD MUSIC for BAD PEOPLE,LIVE at the PEPPERMINT LOUNGE,and LIVE at the NAPA VALLY MENTAL HOSPITAL! A matter of taste...(or some would say,lack of...!)
oh...by the way...THIS is BAD..... :bluesad: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lhC0cKqHFOs
I said unappealing.... but, as you know all too well, unappealing does not exclude entertaining. =) Sometimes quite the opposite.
Zlad really is genius. Four Three One Off Blast! You must awake from your asleep!
I'm very much wanting to do my own song in the style of Zlad, and have a suitably 80s video to go with it. Leather vest a must.
Oh and just for the awesome fashion:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CLSC8c5oEJs (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CLSC8c5oEJs)
Horror Movie by Skyhooks... ludicrous to the max.
Don't forget about John Parr's video for his magnum opus "Naught, Naughty". :cheers:
Worst Video?
Warrant-Cherry Pie. Built with people with serious ADD problems :smile:
I thought that would be "Everybody Wang Chung Tonight" by, well, Wang Chung. Wasn't the video considered likely to induce seizures when viewed under certain lighting conditions. I liked it at the time, thought it was a clever use of rapid editing, but I now blame it for all the rapid cut videos that folloowed and all the stupidly edited movies that were spawned as Hollywood copied the style and as those video directors began to direct feature films.
"Cherry Pie" was the most unsubtle Freudian mainstream video/song at the time and for years to follow.
And a big hearty vote goes out to the Shat's "interpretation" of Rocket Man:

Any Spandau Ballet video from the 80's would fit into this category
I saw Michael Jackson's Thriller video not too long ago, first time in like twenty years. Watching it now, I wonder how we could all have missed the signs -- he was real nervous around the chick, and he did warn her that he wasn't like other guys.

you missed the signs? I was under the impression he was reduced to actually parodying (if that's a word) his own weirdness, even by that stage. his falsetto speaking voice was a major giveaway...
my only bugbear concerning Jacko's music vids is that Eddie Van Halen didn't appear in the video to "Beat It"...he really needed a cameo to run on and play that solo, then get the f**k outta dodge, pronto :teddyr:
Destiny's Child's Cater To You. Basically, the first and last part of the video are good, but the middle did not make any sense at all.
Crash Test Dummies' Mmmm Mmmm Mmmm Mmmm. The song along with the video made no sense.
And Basically, any video from any band that goes the cheap route and does it from one of their tours.

Heey! I kinda liked that Mmmm Mmmm Mmmm Mmmm song!
But here is one that I feel is twice as painful.
Enjoy! I'd much rather suffer rectal bleeding than finish watching this one.

Wham! Wake me up before you Go-go.
