I did a search on this movie and aparently, there is a mystery that floats around this film that a woman was actually killed on purpose during this film. I think this probobly like some sorta publicity thing to get peoples atention, as this sort of thing would never fly with the producers or any other film companies. But i cant help but wonder, is it possible? Could I be wrong?
Yes, you have fallen for the oldest trick in the book. :teddyr: Just like Texas Chain Saw Massacre, the movie is advertised as being real. Of course no real snuff film would find legal distribution in this country. Snuff is OK, but if you're looking for something a bit more shocking, check out a Japanese film called Guinea Pig (the first one). The movie contains no credits, is shot on a consumer-quality VHS camcorder, and runs about 45 grueling minutes. The plot is simple: a group of masked men terrorize a captive woman in various ways. They interrupt the film with title cards announcing the type of punishment, e.g. "100 punches", "Boiling Water", etc. No explanation is ever given. Now it's my turn to perpetuate a rumor: Legend has it, Charlie Sheen of all people got a copy of this and notified the FBI, as to him and all parties concerned, Guinea Pig appeared to be a legitimate snuff film. Subsequent investigation turned up the film's creators and proved it just a film.
SNUFF(1966) is actually an older movie-SLAUGHTER(1971), with added scences to boost it into the public eye. The directors ,Micheal and Roberta Findaly, also made INVASION of the BLOOD FARMERS and SHREIK of the MUTILATED, and lotsa softcore porn in the sixties...alomg with Yoko Ono's first excursion into acting...1965's SATAN's BED.
Yea, I kinda figured it was fake, but for some reason, something in the back of my head said "what if....."
QuoteSHREIK of the MUTILATED
Are you suggesting those cannibal Indians and mountain men who dressed up in fluffy white Bigfoot outfits to catch and eat hippies weren't
REAL?!?
:buggedout:
:bouncegiggle:
I think the Bigfeet were real...now Yoko...I'm not to sure...I think that may be an alien dressed up as a human being! :bouncegiggle:
I have this movie on DVD. The scene that is supposedly a real snuff scene has terrible acting and gore effects. It wouldn't fool anyone except possibly a young child.
