Title: Viva knieval (1974)
Post by: lester1/2jr on May 27, 2007, 06:20:16 PM
Sorry if this has been discussed already.  i haven't posted here for a while for no particular reason.

Well, there's no way I could have come back with better ...news.  This movie is GREAT.  I was born in 74 and have a vague recollection of evel as being a big superstar and hazy ecollections of an american flag motorcycle that very well could be captain america or just something I imagined.

At any rate,  how's about evel Knieval crashing through the doors of a SANITARIUM on his skycycle, riding down the hallways and shooting the lock off the door where his friend is being held captive.  don't ask it's a long story.  Knieval doesn't bother with re takes.  if his line is more than one sentence he WILL blow it.  But he wins you over with his positive, macho, human and even a little tortured persona.  He rides his bike on and over everything.  especially when in hot pursuit of LESLIE NIELSON  the bad guy in this pic.

There are many holes in the plot but you won't care.  At one point he does a jump over a huge cage full of tigers and lions.  hey evel,  if you land on one of those poor aniumals you'll kill it.  and the fire from your bike will kill pobably a half dozen more.  the animals are doing the stunt really.

I wrote another dumb review for this at netflix so check it out if you have it and put it on your queue however you spell it, by all means

I didn't even realize that till I read about it later.  I would like to think jesus's healings ere a little more dramatic and noticable than that.  and i doubt jesus showed up with a big box of jsus action figures though there are perhaps apocryphal gospels that say otherwise
